World renowned German automobile engineering and the acclaimed brand of Volkswagen has arrived in Nepal in the form of new Vento. Pooja International, the authorized importer of Volkswagen for Nepal has recently launched Volkswagen Vento, an entry level sedan. According to Sarik Bogati, Marketing Manager at Pooja International, Vento is meant for those who have tried a few cars before, and looking for a classier vehicle. “Vento offers unrivalled luxury and class. It’s very well built and durable. It is basically targeted to the affluent class,” says Bogati. The Vento bears the unmatched design of Volkswagen.


The exterior of Vento is completely pleasing to the eye with its chrome accented front grille. The elegantly designed chrome horizontal thunder-flash headlights add to its design, which is a signature feature of Volkswagen. The stylish body lines of Vento go all around the car exhibiting the ‘complete design’ philosophy. The body coloured rear view mirrors completely blend with the lines. Add to it the crystal clear chrome accented fog lamps and 15 inch alloy wheels, an unmistakably graceful exhibition. The interiors are equally stylish to match with the exterior. Vento is powered by a 4-cylinder 1.6 litre petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 77 KW at 5250 rpm and a maximum torque of 153 Nm at 3800 rpm. Vento comes with both automatic and manual transmission. The manual variant comes with a 5-speed gearbox whereas the automatic one is equipped with a 6-speed one. The use of Triptonic gearbox supports the override of automatic transmission for convenient overtakes. Both the variants can go to a top speed of 183 km/ hr. the manual version gives a mileage of 12 km/l and the automatic one goes 11 kms in one litre, claims the company. Vento also offers one of the safest rides in its segment. It is equipped with ABS for better manoeuvrability and control. The height adjustable 3-point seat belts for front and rear occupant ensure better safety. In addition, Vento has dual front airbags for maximum protection. Vento is available in three variants, Trendline, Highline and the Automatic one. The company is giving out a warranty of 3 years and unlimited kilometres.
