A Diverse Dining Experience

Gone are the days when people used to go out to a particular restaurant for a particular cuisine. Land at Street Side Food Court, and taste all the possible cuisines under one roof. Located at the third floor of Times Square Mall at Durbarmarg, the food court has been open for 7 months now.

Street Side is a multi cuisine food court with a modern ambience and, provides a service to match it. According to Sunil Maharjan, Food Court Manager, the place is inspired by the fast food stalls in the streets. “We utilized the concept of street fast food vendors and opened the food court, but we provide far more hygienic foods, and a modern ambience here,” says Maharjan. The food court has various separate stalls that offer different cuisines. All the stalls have a separate kitchen and a separate cook, not to mention a separate menu. The first stall in the line is named Mumbai Masala. As the name suggests, it serves spicy Indian food. Both fast food and main courses are on the menu. Katti rolls, veg and non veg snacks, biryanis and varieties of curries are served from this stall.Another stall is named Red Lantern, which specializes in Chinese cuisine. Soups, noodles, spring rolls and numerous hot and spicy Chinese are available here. Next stall, Prego Pizza, serves pizzas baked in fire wood. Margarita, fungi, mixed, jalapeno, pepperoni and other varieties are on the menu here. Sweet Heart is another stall that dispenses Mexican, Arabic and Mediterranean delicacies. Nachos, tacos, various sandwiches are its specialty.

Momos and Pasta, a tall serving just momos, pastas and burgers is the most crowded stall here. After a good meal, the food court also has Chunk Berry, an ice cream parlor for dessert. Ice cream here is served with various syrups, chocolates and nuts according to the choice of customers. Himalayan Beans is another stall that outlets numerous varieties of tea and organic coffee. Finally, there is Kathmandu Sapphire. A well decorated bar with a huge assortment of domestic and imported spirits, plus a number of classic and signature cocktails. The court claims that all the food stalls have been chosen by veteran chefs, and are on par with international food and hygiene standards. The place can accommodate 140 customers at once. One can sit inside in the main court, or in the terrace outside overlooking the busy street of Durbarmarg. There is free WIFi service, and live sufi music is played three days a week. Step in at Street Side Food Court, where your search for cuisines around the world ends. The court provides a 10 per cent discount during its happy hours, which is from 12 noon to 2:30 pm. Also, the regulars are honoured with a privilege card that entitles them to a discount of 10 per cent.
